Jadu eGov partner authorities are making good progress in achieving their targets of 100% e-enablement of services.
The Local DirectGov Programme, supported by the ODPM, is engaging with all English Local Authorities to increase citizen take-up of their online services.
Customers will be routed from the DirectGov website straight to the best available web page on the local authority website that is applicable to the user, given their location, as determined automatically through their address.
Jadu are an engaged supplier within this ODPM programme on behalf of all its partner authorities. Lichfield District Council (a Jadu eGov partner) are part of the 22 authority pilot scheme.
We have provided all of our partners with facilities to easily generate spreadsheets of service data (URLs) for the initial phases of the programme.
We have also provided an A-Z Export facility built into our system, which will export XML data for all of the selected services, in accordance with the LocalDirectGov schema.
Please see more information on our Joined-up Dynamic A-Z system.
Initially, the Local DirectGov Programme has been looking to collect
the most appropriate URLs associated with approximately 70 services
derived from the LGSL/LGIL.
Phase one collection of these services is now complete from all authorities, and the Local DirectGov application has officially been launched.
The
Programme will now continue to engage with all English Local
Authorities until March 2006 to collect a further, fuller set of data,
in order to continue creating links between DirectGov and individual
Local Authority websites.
