Jadu announce Kettering Borough Council Partnership to deliver Jadu eGov Content Server

With many CMS systems available, including some Open Source products, the cost of ownership can be very high for smaller Local Authorities and Government departments.

Jadu Limited have partnered with Kettering Borough Council to deliver Jadu eGov Content Server, an open and highly supported application based on the Jadu CMS User Interface.

The eGovernment Interoperability Framework, developed by the Office of the e-Envoy has provided UK Local Authorities with a structured framework from which they can deliver services electronically using the Internet.

eGovernment has become a high profile topic in the CMS industry, with many solutions offering eGif compliant content management systems. In truth, eGif has some definite and strict guidelines to which all government websites must adhere.

With the many systems available, including some Open Source products, the cost of ownership can be very high for some authorities.

Jadu CMS has been used by public sector organisations such as the DTI and Coventry and Warwickshire Education Business Consortium for some years.

With the emerging standards now a requirement for many public sector websites, the decision to develop an enterprise CMS specifically to facilitate eGovernment was a natural progression.

Jadu eGov Content Server will bring together all the advanced features of the Jadu product suite and include major enhancements and functionality.

The product will launch at the SOCITM spring seminar on April 29th.
