Digital Leaders, the nationwide programme for promoting effective, long-term digital transformation across government, industry and charities, has today announced the finalists who make up the Digital Leaders 100 (DL100) list for 2019 and opened the public vote.

JADU, a leading global ‘low code’ software platform provider for enterprise level implementations, specialising in web CMS, online forms and customer case management, is recognised in the ‘Digital SME’ category.

The independent DL list recognises 100 people and organisations across the UK who are leading the way in digital transformation in all sectors. Previously, the list has featured industry names such as: Martha Lane-Fox, Mike Bracken and Eileen Burbidge.

The two individual categories, Digital Leader and Young Digital Leader, have 20 names from five UK regions including Scotland and Northern Ireland. The remaining 80 places in the list are taken up by organisations.

Over 500 public sector bodies, SMEs and charities were considered by judges for these 80 places and it is a credit to them all that they have been selected. They represent all 12 UK regions with the largest number outside of London and the South East being from Scotland, Yorkshire and the North West. #notjustLondon

There are two new categories this year, AI Innovation and HealthTech Innovation of the Year. The 20 finalists in these two categories are using the opportunities of emerging technology to change health outcomes, diagnose cancers, support adult social care and revolutionise the personalisation of learning - to name but a few.

Russell Haworth, Chair of Digital Leaders, said: "The Digital Leaders 100 list 2019 once again highlights the progress in digitally transforming the UK. Our community of Digital Leaders have shone a light on the many hidden heroes, quietly getting on with the nation’s digital transformation. It is fabulous to see such a strong list from outside London this year reflecting our own inclusive national programme and the growing importance of digital transformation on companies irrespective of size or sector."

Robin Knowles, CEO of Digital Leaders, commented: "Our 7th Digital Leaders 100 published today reflects much of the fantastic work going on across the UK’s sectors. It’s a celebration of those leading change, but who are not perhaps household names yet.”

The Awards

The final list order and category winners will be announced at the DL100 Awards Dinner on 20 June 2019. To vote in the DL100 and find out more, go to: digileaders100.com.

About the Digital Leaders 100

Each year’s list is created from nominations submitted by members of the 120,000 strong Digital Leaders Community before being shortlisted by the DL100 judges, who are often members of the Digital Leaders Advisory Board.

This year’s list is the 7th cohort to join the alumni of previous winners that now numbers over 400 leaders from Government, Enterprise, startups and charities. These former members stay in touch, network and learn from each other through participation in the DL100 Club.
