Dynamic A-Z

Jadu CMS's intelligent A-Z functionality for government provides a simple, easy to use and maintain facility for the indexing of specific PID referenced services. The A-Z provides site users with a simple, and efficient means to navigate the many hundreds of sections contained within Jadu's main content repository.

LGSL: Using standards to link intelligently

The A-Z is indexed by title and partly indexed by PID list or LGSL (Local Government Service List) categories. Multiple categories can be applied to a single service, making cross referencing simple. For example, 'Abandoned Vehicles' could appear in both 'A' for abandoned and 'V' for vehicles.

More than one way to find content - using XML and metadata

As well as an intelligent A-Z and advanced search for finding services, Jadu CMS for Government also manages related content automatically. Becuase all the content in Jadu CMS for Government's databases are categorised using GCL, LGCL (or IPSV) and for services LGSL, Jadu CMS for Government can dynamically build relationships between related pages, downloads, FAQ's, forms etc.

Entering services into Jadu CMS for Government's Control Centre means that it will appear in multiple places on the website - making information on core services easy to find and logical.

Predefined delivery of PID services

Jadu have predefined content, generated by current local authority partners, that helps new local authority partners understand the content challenges of BVPI157. We can also provide the ESD's standard content (fully PID referenced) and import this either as full content pages or headings with PID references directly into Jadu CMS' A-Z database. This provides 100% of BVPI157 (providing information).

Unique functionality with integrated delivery of services

Jadu CMS' A-Z is an LGSL (PID) referenced content repository and designed to link in (using an automatic mapping) to the LGCL/IPSV. For example, Burnley Borough Council and Lichfield District Council.

Note the 'Further Information' panel at the bottom of the page, which is a system-generated link into additional rich content such as online forms, FAQs, etc. It is also possible to reference a service by its PID number on all government websites using Jadu's PID referencing technology.

An automatically generated A-Z of services will eventually create an A-Z that includes information not relevant to an index of services (and no PID referencing, which is required by PSO R3).

Jadu's A-Z is also 'XML Output enabled' (another requirement of PSO R3). A-Z Items can be selected and exported to a single XML document for feeding directly into a CRM system. For example, Burnley Borough Council.

Additionally, lists of all A-Z services can be automatically exported as Excel spreadsheets from any government Jadu CMS system. For example, Cannock Chase District Council.

This is the technology Jadu have used to integrate directly with LocalDirectGov into the ESD Toolkit - making Jadu the only CMS to include a fully featured A-Z service system embedded into the core system.
