Administration utilities
Jadu CMS includes a collection of standard administration tools and utilities that provide additional functionality for the ongoing maintenance, management and administration of your CMS and website - helping improve experiences for both customers and site administrators alike.
Login and access privileges
The user administration area of the CMS allows quick and easy creation of new users along with point and click specification of granular-level permissions to ensure individuals or user groups upon login, only see the necessary parts of your organisation's CMS.
It is equally easy to add or remove privileges for individuals depending on changes in responsibilities or job roles.
Workflow management and task notification
You can ensure changes do not go to your live site until they have been through the appropriate workflow. Workflows are configured via a simple drag and drop interface that allows for quick and easy changes created from e.g. organisational, staff or role changes. An additional 'rollback' facility allows republishing of previous content versions at any point.

Task
notification is built into workflow management and email notifications
can be configured using an 'alerts and escalations' feature within the
Jadu workflow environment which can be sent to all, individuals or
groups working in collaboration.
Notifications relate to content items that are:
- To do (awaiting some form of action e.g. assess for publication, collaborate or amend).
- Awaiting action (assigned to a colleague for approval, collaboration or editing and have not yet been actioned).
- Scheduled for review (due for review, expiry, or past scheduled review date and still awaiting action).
Navigation builder and taxonomy management
Navigation can be fully customised using the Category Builder that is
included as standard within the Jadu CMS. An intuitive interface allows
you to easily manage your website's taxonomy by adding, removing or
repositioning website sections, with flexibility to display navigation
levels on the front-end as specified.
Assigning
content to multiple categories in your taxonomy allows it to be
published in several parts of your website, but controlled from a
single source.
Breadcrumb navigation and associated links are dynamically maintained when repositioning content in your website's taxonomy.
Readable and friendly URLs
URL rewriting transforms ugly
machine generated addresses into familiar, language based web
addresses, so that Jadu CMS powered websites display clean and
memorable URLs such as http://mydomain.com/further_information.
The Jadu CMS templating system provides straightforward, organic search engine optimisation using a human-readable URL scheme that automatically generates 'readable' URLs based on metadata descriptions and page titles to create dynamic, yet human and semantic web friendly URLs.
In addition, the CMS enables you to manually assign human readable 'friendly' URLs for category homepages, campaign pages, landing pages - any page in the CMS.
MyJadu API
The 'MyJadu API' enables users to create applications and 'mash-ups' around your website content through the Jadu web-based, public development framework.
Using an API key issued through the Jadu Control Centre your users become an extension of your development team. By tapping into the vast wealth of information within your website, developers can build applications for platforms such as the iPhone that enrich user experiences in the same way API's offered by sites such as Google and Flickr have enriched the experiences of their users.
You can rapidly develop mobile applications for devices such as the iPhone or Blackberry - to enable customers to easily tap into your content and data.
Stylesheet manager
The Stylesheet manager enables you to upload new stylesheets, assign them to different categories in your website's structure and preview them in a preview area.
Stylesheets can be assigned to specific website sections or to individual content items such as individual widgets.
Image editor
The Jadu CMS delivers image editing functionality to help prepare images for publication on the web.
The Image editor allows for resizing, colour adjustment, cropping and optimisation of images files before you add them to your website.
You can also apply various filters, effects or captions so that your website's images retain a consistent format or style.
LDAP integration
Jadu CMS can be synchronised with your organisation's local directory access privileges settings through mapping to an existing collection of user names or email addresses, enabling individuals in your organisation to access the Jadu CMS through a common logon profile.
