The Luminis Portal platform enables the push of information to students in a channel format that is then displayed in an online environment accessed by students. Some channels are mandatory and some are subscription based, giving students the ability to view information that is customised to them.
Jadu CMS features a Luminis connector which enables the repurposing of existing web content or dedicated publishing to the Luminis platform. This content can then become a channel that students can subscribe to in their customised portal.
Using the Jadu CMS web content 'Save as' functionality, data can be saved to a number of different formats, including the Luminis Portal Platform.
Upon selecting this format the content publisher is then presented with a screen that enables them to layer an XSLT stylesheet over the data with dynamic preview of the content as it will be displayed within the portal.
Data and the accompanying stylesheet are then published to the web and exposed as resources, which can then be used to create a portal item within Luminis. With the addition of content, or content that is updated through workflow within Jadu CMS, the integrated channel within Luminis is also updated.
